Aside from being a huge fantasy geek and a writer, I’m a graduate student in genetics, with bachelors degrees in molecular biology and history–yeah, I know, they go together so well. During my undergrad, I studied abroad in Rome for a semester, mostly focusing on ancient history.
I try to put up one post every week or two, usually about a work of fantasy or sci-fi. Anything goes–books, movies, TV shows, web series, anime, etc. If something in particular stands out to me, I might also talk about the representation of science in media. And I’ll post updates on my own work whenever there’s a new release, or something particularly noteworthy.
Since I write myself, I make a point of only talking about books I can be positive about–which is why the stuff listed on my Goodreads is all five stars. If I don’t like it, I won’t mention it at all (and will probably not admit to having read it if asked).
