I’m the author of the urban fantasy/post-apocalyptic novel Terrestrial Magic and the YA epic fantasy novel Chains Carried on Wings.

Aside from being a huge fantasy geek and a writer, I have a PhD in genetics, as well as bachelors degrees in molecular biology and history–yeah, I know, they go together so well. During my undergrad, I studied abroad in Rome for a semester, mostly focusing on ancient history.

Since I write myself, I make a point of only talking about books I can be positive about–which is why the stuff listed on my Goodreads is all five stars. If I don’t like it, I won’t mention it at all.
